Im 19 and im in $1,600 in credit card debt . My parents say that thats nothing compared to most peoples debt but I still feel thats alot for being 19 years old.

   There is absolutely no reason to carry credit card debt. Financing and debt should be used for big purchases only (i.e. cars, houses, furniture, etc).

   Any other purchase should be saved for in advance and then purchased. If you carry 1,600 in debt, you are paying $240 dollars a year to the credit card company. If you continue use credit cards to pay normal purchases and accrue debt, it will likely ruin your financial future for years to come.

   1,600 isn’t that much at all. Just pay way more than the minimum payment.

   1600 dollars isnt that bad, but just try not to add anymore to it. I kinda screwed up that way, i had around the same and then eventually went up to 5000 dollars. Check out this video about a guys phone bill.

   Yes they might be right. But you have to start paying back the credit card debt. You have to do good arrangement and planning on the repayment.    Ive mentioned this before on one of these threads i used a company called Aftersense and they offer various financial services. They helped me obtain a loan when i had hardly any income. I think they also offer Debt Management aswell. you can fill in a form on their website and they will give you a call back. Hope this sorts your problem out.
