Is it unsafe to accept major credit cards as a form of payment on Ebay?

I notice that a lot of sellers do not accept any credit cards as a form of payment on Ebay. Why is this?

And what exactly does the seller need to have in order for the buyer to be able to pay with a credit card (a PayPal account? a credit card of their own?)

Are my different credit cards on paypal optional when buying an ebay item?

If I have two different credit cards on my Paypal account, can I pick which one I want to use when I buy something on Ebay? Or do I have to use the first credit card I added?

Is it possible for me to pay for something using 2 credit cards with paypal? I dont see this option anywhere. Can I add funds from my bank account to my paypal account, then use the remaining to pay with my credit card on file?

9 holofoil, 22 rare, 43 uncommon, 98 common and 3 promos. these are all retired cards, they are no longer being made because they are of the old style and neopets went under new management and changed the style. I have no credit card/paypal account. how and where can I sell them?
