Credit card application
I owe roughly $15,000 (between two cards). I was young and immature when it came to money and now I have to pay the price. I tried to get a new credit card to consolidate both balances but I was told in an application that my credit score was lowered by too many enquiries over a period of time (big bummer) so I can’t get a new card. I almost went with Capitol One, thats how desperate I was. But alas I’m still stuck with these two high interest cards. They’re college cards that I got when I was 18 (24 now). I tried to get the companies to lower the interest rate but they gave me a song and dance about the rates being on perma-set rate. So i need advice/help bad. :-(

I’ve got a AAA credit card and just got a GM card last month…the only 2 i am getting. Over the history of the accounts I have every single bill in full on time and never spent money I didn’t have. Over the last year or so, my credit score has been hovering around 740. I just bought a new car (3 yrs at $180/mo, which is a pittance for a car payment) and about $4900 of car loan remaining. If i got perfect finances as compared to most people (i’m only 24 yrs old), and my score has been hovering around 740 for the longest time, what can help raise my score on top of that? Any other advice?

Why can’t there be at least one credit card that charges 0% interest, NO MONTHLY PAYMENTS, Unlimited credit line. Then you can’t max out, you never have to make a payment, and you can borrow however much you want or need.

Why can’t credit card companies give Americans credit cards like these to poor people and then have the government lend money to the banks if it comes down to that?

I have a few credit cards all have been current, but feel I’m getting in over my head. How do I go about paying the cards off then closing them?
I plan on taking my stimulus money and paying them off, so the money isn’t an issue. But I can have them closed before they receive pay off?
MZ, they charge yearly fee’s if left open, should I still keep them open? I’ve cut them up so I won’t use them.

I was reading in the news that now companies are not filling our mail boxes with adds for new credit cards.
They are wanting people to pay off their credit cards faster and adding new charges to get you to pay them off faster. I thought that is how they made money?

Best Credit Card
Now that I have money coming in steadily, what is the best way to pay off my credit card? Should I make a payment weekly as I get the funds, or should I pay a certain amount more each month when the bill is due?

I have not missed any payments yet. I have only been able to pay the minimum lately and I want to get back to a zero balance.

Credit card application
I’m currently looking for my first credit card, and I’ve applied to three separate companies. All of them say the same thing: “We cannot approve your application because you have no previously standing accounts.” In other words, I’m not on the grid yet. I have the money to back my application. I’m a student, but I’m unemployed at this time. Even the Student account was denied me. Is there any way I can successfully get a credit card?

1. I have 5 thousand dollars of credit card debt.

Compared to other 27 year olds, do you think I have an outrageous amount of credit card debt?

I live at home. I do not have a car payment. I have no idea where my money has been going. Anyway, what % of my paycheck should go to these credit cards?
