what is the best credit card to get with a 584 mid fico, i want to pay off all my debts and start paying the card off now that i can afford it? is there one with out an annual fee? i was told orchard bank? i definitley want to get an american express once im at 700? and how long will it take to get me there once i start paying off the debts?

My husband and I have not been the most responsible in the way back past regarding our credit. We have paid off all collection accounts excluding one that will be paid with in a month. Our credit cards have been active for more than a year with no late payments. We are holding balences but should have the paid off with in two moths. Four credit cards in tottal with only $500 credit limit on each. Most of the cards have a balence of around 50%. since starting to pay off our debts we have seen his credit score jump 5 to 10 points on one or more of the reporting agencies dayly. How much do you think our score will jump after paying off our credit cards and the last collection. Also, What is the current score needed to get a good rate on a home loan? I have seen on t.v that it is 680 but most websites say 620. Would I get the same intrest rate if my score were 620 compared to 680? Thanks to anyone who can help!!

When you consolidate debt, it shows all old debts as being paid, etc, but the one new debt ratio, which is the amount being owed to the consolidation company will be huge. QUESTION: Does It lower the credit score to have a huge debt ratio like this?
OTHER QUESTION: and you also want to have say, 3 credit cards, (3 of them is the number you want to have a good credit profile, right), then the debt consolidation companies close your credit cards or do they not? How does it work

I’ve havent been employed for about 2 months now. I’ve gotten fired from my first job ever, i’ve tried almost everywhere but no one ever calls me back, or when I contact them they say they found someone more qualified. My debts are piling up and I don’t know what to do with it. Who can I call? I mean, $5000 may not be much compared to those who have more, but for a student who only worked part time and used those credit cards to pay for tuition, its a lot. My cell phone rings non stop, and I just want it all to stop. Please help me. I’m so overwhelmed and I dont know what to do anymore ..

In the fall, I saw a preview at the theater about a woman who was into designer fashions and got into trouble with her credit cards as a result. She had to work for the fashion industry, I believe, to pay off her debts. Does anyone know the title of this movie? I apparently missed it at the theater, and I’ve been unable to find anything about it online.

Last year I was got very sick and ended up having surgery I am alot better, but t still not 100%. I don’t work outside the home. I am at mother of 3 small children. During this time I was ill, my husband injured his knee and had to have surgery. He was out of work for 4 months. We were unable to pay our credit cards, we had to borrow from family just to buy groceries, and our church paid our house payment during that time. We couldn’t pay then and we are still unable to pay our credit cards. They have all been charged off, I don’t really know what that means. I have no idea what might happen. We don’t have anything for them to take if they tried to sue us…Has anybody ever been in a mess like this, and if so what do we have to look forward too…..We are not trying to get out of paying out debts, if we had it I would gladley pay. But we just don’t have it.
