Credit card application
I seen an ad on tv for a free credit card application. When I got the application the card was attached.I read the form and seen a charge of $249.00 for the attached card. I called the card company and told them I tore the application up and didn’t wish to apply. They in turn put a bad mark on my credit history. Was I slammed by this credit card company? Can I sue them for this?

I have a Citi Visa card since 2002 and a new Citi Mastercard with rebates which I’ve received a month ago. I like the rebate features on the Mastercard and I would like to combine both cards into the Mastercard. Will I lose my credit history on the Visa if I move the credit limit to the Mastercard and close Visa?

My current credit score is 745 and I’ve built it solely by using credit cards and paying on time (but never had any loans). Somebody told me that the abscence of installement-paid loan will prevent my score from climbing much higher. Is it true? Should I take some consumer loan to boost my credit score since I am planning to apply for a mortgage in the near future?

credit cards
My friend is a new immigrant. She’s over 18 but earns no credit cards. She now finds Old Navy, GAP and some other companies are offering credit cards without any anual fee and she wants to apply. Since she never earned any credit cards and had no credit history but only a debit card before, is she eligible to apply?

Thx!!!

I am in the market to buy a house. The problem is, i won’t have 10% to put down.

My credit score is around 760 give or take a few points. Never late my entire life. this includes automobile payments, student loans, a couple unsecured loans from my bank, and multiple credit cards (which have been paid completely over the years)

So, i hear the FHA loan only requires 3.5% down. compared to Conventional which requires 10%.

What is the difference between these loans, besides the down payment, or is that it?? i also know they have to inspect the house to make sure it’s liveable.

basically, is one better than the other or are they the same. If the conventional loan is better, is there a way to get it with less of a down payment than 10% (looking at my credit history)????

PLEASE HELP!!!! :)

Credit card application
I’m in my early twenties. I’m not a student. I also need one that reports my limit to credit bureaus so I can build credit. My bank declined my credit card application because I have no credit. I can’t go through them.
I need to build credit if I want a car, home, etc.

I talking about excellent credit with atleast five years of credit history, no blemishes what soever, and someone with a high credit rating. I am just kind of wondering what kind of offers does good credit get you, especially compared to people with bad credit? What kind of APR can you get with bad credit, overdue accounts in the history, poor credit, and a short credit history?
I am just curious as to how much of an advantage is it to have a good credit history?

I had just turned 18 a few months, ago but when i chose to sign up for a credit card tonight at 2 locations..
www.newegg.com and
www.officemax.com
i was declined with this message “LIMITED SATISFACTORY CREDIT HISTORY”

I’m trying to understand what exactly that means, i have 2 bank accounts all good, no problems, and no credit cards.. How can i establish good credit if i cannot even get a credit card?

Or do you know of any sites or stores that have a near 100% approval
