I am trying to improve my credit score and I am just trying to figure out the best way and fastest way to do it. I also was wondering if it looks bad or good on your credit to have cards with small limits like $300 or $500? That’s the highest limit that I have and was wondering how it is affecting me. Should I close cards with low limits and just not have credit cards at all? HELP!

I recently got this letter…can some1 tell me what it means?

I never had a credit card in my life before. I was always scared that I might fall under the bad credit before I reach 25! But now, I really need a credit card, but I want to know which one is the best one to apply for? I am also a full time student, so I don’t know if there are companies that offer a credit with help for a student.

I have little debt on a credit card which is almost paid off (under $500). I am at the age of controlling my finances better, I am considering of switching my spending style to purchase items on my credit card then pay off my balance monthly.
The goal is to use the promotional earned credit to help purchase a car.
Is this realistic? I think I may credit at best $200 to $500 towards the car because $2500 of usage equals $25 towards the purchase of the car. I don’t think I will end up running a balance on it at this point of my life.
It’s the VW card for Volkswagen if that matters.
I was also wondering if anyone got conned on the deal such as promotions expiring, etc.
I realize the hustle is in not paying off the card, but that’s not an issue now.
For those who use promotional cards, which one?

I live in Bronx, N Y and I need help. If any one can give me ideas of how to get appplicants for credit cards or places where I can leave credit card applications for people to apply.My school was give a unique opportunity. For every approved application a get 10 points. What ever is my total they will devide it by half and credit my tuition that amount. So if a get 100 people to apply for a credit card and get approved that will equal 1000 points so I would get a $500.00 credit to my tuition.
I have been doing this and my mother older sister and brother have a card. This is a valid offer, a just need a way to get more people to apply. Please I need ideas not opinions(helpful comments only please)

I recieved 2 credit card applications in the mail for a CitiBank MasterCard. I don’t have any credit at all and I’ve applied for a couple cards and been rejected, so I’m weary about sending in one of these applications because I know it looks bad on your credit to apply for a lot of cards. So are these just an ad or will I really get a card??
