I have been receiving credit card applications in the mail for weeks now and at this point it is making me wonder which ones are legit….. I just bought my first home earlier this year, well last year in February….so i think maybe this is the cause of all the applications…..so help me…..how do i determine the bad applications from the good or decent ones?

I have been divorced from my ex-husband for over 10 years and suddenly I have been receiving credit card applications with his name, and my address on it.
After we divorced 10 years ago, I moved from Ky to CA. I don’t have any idea what state is in. How did the credit card company’s get his name on thier list with my address after all of these years. Should I be suspicious that my X is up to something funny? Or are these credit card company’s up to no good??

I am not a US citizen; I am a civil engineer from abroad; I have a green card since end of 2005; Accepted my first position in the US last january 2006 with 45K salary. Presently I am in a 60K position. I have a bank account in the US since 2003 and 2 saving accounts since 2006 (totalling more than 15K). My real question is: how can I have a sufficient credit history if all my credit card applications (even from SEARS) are denied for that lack of sufficient credit history?
