So two days ago my xbox 360 stopped reading game disks.
I took everything to best buy (with a broken component HD cable) exept the HDMI cable, headset, and ethernet cable. (left them in the car just incase they didn’t notice that they are missing.)
So when I got to the store they were then comparing the serial number on the xbox and the receipt. (while the lady was checking the xbox, she dropped my Hard drive -_- I chose to keep it because of my save files, purchases ect. )
When they came back to me they told me the Serial numbers didn’t match. I was confused and I refused to leave, that’s when I noticed they were comparing the xbox serial number with the my rewards zone card serial number on the receipt. ( The xbox serial number has 12 numbers, and the one they were comparing it with in the receipt had only 10 numbers) I pointed it out and all the lady said was “im sorry there’s nothing we can do about it, the numbers don’t match. Want me to get the manager?” I accepted and as soon as the manager got to us, i told her they were comparing the wrong serial numbers. The manager scanned the receipt and apologized us.
So she told me to grab a new xbox elite, but they had to pull out the component HD cable because the one I brought with my xbox was broken.. (but for some reason they forgot to pull out the HDMI cable, ethernet cable, and headset from my new xbox. Double of those for me xD) plus the new xbox came with kungfu panda and some lego star wars game. Cheap games but eh, free.)
I asked for the 2 year replacement plan again, and it seemed to have lowered from 80 dollars to 60 dollars.
As i was taking out 80 dollars from my wallet she said it’s okay, it’s covered with the store credit.. and she gave me a card with 21 store credit dollars remaining in it..?? huh?? why did best buy give me 80 dollars?
