Ok if you would llike to cancel it, send them a email asking them to cancel your appplication, or maybe ty calling them and asking them to cancel your application, which they will.

If you don’t get them to cancel the application in time, then just cut it up or cancel it as soon as you get it. I would recommend cutting it up but if you decide to close it, then no it won’t “ruin” your credit. It might bring it down a few points, but it would be far from the dumpster.

My friend, you should be able to cancel this transaction by emailing the bank or calling them letting them know that you no longer interested in the application. Another option will be to go online to check the status of your application. Most banks will give you an option not only to check the status of your application, but also to cancel it. So you might want to look out for this.

If for some reason you are not able to get through to them in time to cancel the application, and the credit card is delivered to you, you can cancel it at that stage by taking it in to the bank and closing the account.

Please be very careful with how you get rid of information that relates to credit card application. It is best that you shred documents like this to avoid it then been found by identity thieves who can make your life miserable. Trust me on this one.

As to whether it will ruin your credit, I don’t think it will. But even if it did by some stretch of imagination, I personally think it is better for you to go the route of canceling it than to dig herself deeper into the debt trap. That I believe would do more damage to your credit.

    I hope this helps you.

    Best regards
