They will know how old you are by looking at your social security number.

SSN big part of the application they’ll know you’re lying.

  3. SCH says:

Your social security number was derived from a formula…when he submits his application they will be able to tell where and when he was born…so it is not any use to lie about your age.

It’s called Credit Card fraud and it is a felony. Besides that, juvenile or not, it will have a enormous negative impact on his credit rating for a long time. Finally, some merchants make blacklist the individual for an undetermined amount of time.

While they will be able to determine the age through SS#, since the form was completed and signed, which is your way of saying everything on the form is accurate to the best of your knowledge, you still have committed credit card fraud.

He will get into some real trouble for lying about his age. I would advise against him doing this.
