credit cards compare
I have an elderly aunt who owns a modest home. She was almost bankrupt but worked very hard to pay her credit card debt out of fear of losing her house.

Do people who own homes outright end up simply not paying their credit card debt? I am so curious as to whether people who own homes “get away with” not paying off their credit cards.

Was my aunt “foolish” compared to other people because she didnt’ simply declare bankruptcy?

Please note, I do not need the formula for calculation, I just need to know how to plug it into an IRR calculator properly. If you can also direct me to a good IRR calculator online that would be helpful.

I want to compare three credit card scenarios. In each case, the balance is $10,000 and the monthly payment is $500.

First Card: Starts at 24% the first month, and drops a percentage point every month for 24 months.

Second Card: Starts at 1% and gains a percentage point each month for 24 months.

Third Card: 12% for 24 months.

I actually know which scenario is the best option, so I don’t need people just telling me, but I want to know how to calculate the IRR for each.

Thanks.

Credit card application
I’m in my early twenties. I’m not a student. I also need one that reports my limit to credit bureaus so I can build credit. My bank declined my credit card application because I have no credit. I can’t go through them.
I need to build credit if I want a car, home, etc.

Credit card offer
I have a Discover card that has a balance of roughly 7 grand that I am trying hard to pay down/off but the interest rate is nearly 18%! Does anyone know of a good credit card offer where I can transfer my balance and get it paid off at 0% for a year or something like that?

Best Credit Card
I have almost perfect credit but I don’t receive any rewards with my current credit card. I travel a lot and could use mileage points. What’s the best card available now?

I talking about excellent credit with atleast five years of credit history, no blemishes what soever, and someone with a high credit rating. I am just kind of wondering what kind of offers does good credit get you, especially compared to people with bad credit? What kind of APR can you get with bad credit, overdue accounts in the history, poor credit, and a short credit history?
I am just curious as to how much of an advantage is it to have a good credit history?

Credit card application
I was contacted via phone this evening from a lawyer regarding a credit card debt that I believed to have been paid off by my ex husband, whom I divorced in 2000. The woman would give me NO details other than to say it was in my name and told me I had to contact the bank I had the credit card with for answers. I requested a copy of my credit report and sure enough it was there, the account was opened in 1998 and then it shows it being charged off in 2002 yet tonight was the first time anyone has ever contacted me about it. I honestly cannot remember if I signed the credit application or not; my ex opened alot of accounts without my knowledge and I was listed as an authorized user but according to the credit report this account was joint. I just want proof that I signed a credit application; do I have the right to request such proof? I told the woman that called that I am disputing this matter; she aruged that the account is in my name but I know it isn’t. What can I do?
