credit cards
I have about 15 credit cards and I want to cancel about 8 of them…I hardly use them and it’s been hard keeping track. I know it’ll lower my credit score a bit, but does anyone know how many points?? How do I get those points back later?

I have never owned a credit card and I owe collections $400. Does anyone know where I can get a credit card offer regardless of my bad credit score?

Credit card application
I just applied for a 2nd credit card (a store credit card). On the website one of the requirements was that you were already approved for a major credit card.

The letter said rejected because:
-number of recent inquiries on credit bureau report
-excessive obligations in relation to credit limit
-limited credit experience

In Janurary I was approved for a student credit card(Visa through Bank of America). I’ve paid my bill in full each month, and my average use is $250/month of my credit limit, which is $700. So each month I have not even gotten close to my credit limit.

I just want to know what “excessive obligations in relation to credit limit” means. I understand the other reasons.

Thank you
ok, thank you everyone for all the side notes.

can someone please tell me what “excessive obligations in relation to credit limit” means

thanks

Credit card offer
My credit card offer 20,000 travel miles for opening new card (new customer only)
Credit card CSR told me that I can use it, earn my mileage, and cancel it after 3 months.
And apply for a new one and earn a fresh 20,000 miles

I think it is a good idea b/c this company has many credit card products and I can earn the mileage faster.
Do you have any idea how much FICA scores will I loose? My FICA score is 815 with no debts.

Credit card offer
I need a loan pretty much. I am trying to get an apt. I was denied for two personal loans because of not having an “adequate income”. I am trying to get 2,500 dollars. I could pay it back as I work full time. I have relatively good credit too! I need some help. Please don’t answer me with a “scam”. I won’t respond to it and I’m sick of scams.

credit cards compare
My sister was evicted from her apartment last year and has been living at home since. She was 30 days late on rent because she had lost her job and was in the middle of a messy divorce. She has always been good with her finances in the past; however, her financial troubles hit at the same time and put her in a bind.
My question is: She is looking to get an apartment with me since my lease is up, our parents are moving out of state, and we have no other family or friends that have room to take her in. I have no prior evictions so would a landlord look at the application and be willing to rent to us if one of us has eviction history and the other does not? Her credit history is only messy around the time of her eviction, meaning she has a charge off on one credit card for $400, which she paid in full and another charge off for her car, which they repossessed (yes I know its a lot, but I’m not writing to have people judge her, so please only answer the questions) She has been up to date and paying in advance all of her bills for the last six months, since she got a new job. We compared credit reports so I know exactly what is on hers. My credit is excellent. Please only serious answers. We are looking to rent in a complex and are trying to avoid renting a single family home. However, if that is our best option, we will take it. Thank you in advance!
